The project “Equal chances in health – prevention and health promotion programme in ŚwidwinCounty” is implemented as part of the Operational Programme PL13 “Limitation of social inequalities in healthcare”.
The value of the project is PLN 3,281,242; it is 100 per cent financed from the funds of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism and state funds.
The project was applied for by ŚwidwinCounty, which is implementing it now. The implementation of the project measures started on 1 February 2015 and will go on until 30 April 2016.
The project is addressed to all inhabitants of the County, especially those who are directly endangered by the diseases of the digestive system. The research commissioned by the Ministry of Health shows that diseases of the digestive system are one of the most frequent causes of death among the population in ŚwidwinCounty.
The overarching objective of the project is the improvement in public healthcare and limitation of social inequalities in healthcare in the area of ŚwidwinCounty. The prime goal of the project is the decrease in the number of cases of diseases related to life-style among the population of the County.
The needs analysis showed that within the project measures we should concentrate on limiting the number of cases of digestive system diseases, including chronic liver diseases.
